When you order a certified translation, the translation will be provided alongside the name/signature and stamp of the translator. This signature is confirmation that the text has been translated accurately from the original document. Once the document is translated, the translated text is attached to the original document (or a copy of the original). An endorsement of translation with the translator’s signature and stamp is included between the original document and the translation. All three parts form a single package, and so you cannot split the documents apart without the translation losing its validity as a result. We recommend that you always keep your translation together with its originals.

Certified translations and certificates of translation

Some companies use the term CoT when referring to their certified translations, but it is important not to confuse them as there is a difference between whether the translator has the necessary qualifications to call themselves a certified translator or whether it is the company that endorses the translation.
