Legalisering.dk: Tailored Solutions for Your Translation Needs

At Legalisering.dk, we offer a range of solutions to meet your translation needs. In addition to providing certified translations, we also offer a service for company-certified translations.

What is a Company-certified Translation?

A company-certified translation is performed by a native-language translator who translates your document word-for-word. Unlike a certified translator, this translator does not have their own official seal. This does not affect the quality of your translation; the difference lies in the specific academic qualifications required for an official seal, which may not be available for all language combinations in Denmark. To certify your translation, our company will instead vouch for the accuracy of the translation, ensuring its authenticity.

Can You Legalize My Company-certified Translation?

Yes, we can certainly do that. In most cases, we will need your original document, and your project manager will inform you if it is necessary. We will combine your original with the translation and our company letterhead, which will be in both Danish/English and your chosen language, and obtain a notarial certification for your translation. We will then proceed to legalize both your original document and the translation.

Why Do You Need My Originals?

To legalize your translation, the original document must also be legalized, if it is eligible for legalization, as per the requirements of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As a rule of thumb, if your document is issued by an authority (e.g., certificates), it must be legalized along with the translation. Documents like pay slips, which are issued by a company, do not need to be legalized. Your project manager will assist you with this process.

Why Choose a Company-certified Translation Over a Certified Translation?

The choice between a company-certified and a certified translation depends on your needs and those of the recipient. Often, the recipient will specify whether they require a certified translation, or simply proof that you did not translate it yourself. Choose the translation type based on these requirements.

From a financial perspective, opting for a company-certified translation can be more economical—this varies depending on your language combination. You can always request a quote for both types of translations.

Which Languages Can You Assist With for Company-certified Translations?

We can assist with translations to and from all languages. However, if your translation needs to be legalized, the original document must be issued in Denmark in either Danish or English.

Price

To offer you the best possible price for your translation, we work with a network of translators both in Denmark and abroad. This ensures that you receive the most competitive rate for your specific translation needs when you choose Legalisering.dk. A certified translation without legalization starts at a minimum price of DKK 490 ex VAT, while a legalized translation, including the legalization of your original document, starts at DKK 2,500. You can see our minimum prices here.

Before we can provide a specific quote, we need to review your document. We will then provide a non-binding quote based on our assessment. If you are unable to send a scan of the document, please provide a description and the word count.

Confidentiality

At Legalisering.dk, we handle all inquiries with strict confidentiality. All our translators have signed a confidentiality agreement. You can read more about our confidentiality policy here.
